IMMI Recalls Harnesses Made for Polaris, Can-Am, and Kawasaki UTVs Due to Injury Hazard

Recall FAQ

A: IMMI recently received reports that certain of its Click6 and SubZero harnesses may have been manufactured with missing stitching at one of multiple sew joints/attachment points. There have been no reports of injury.

A: Certain harnesses may be missing stitching at one of multiple sew joints/attachment points. A missing stitch poses the risk that an occupant may not be properly restrained in the event of a crash.

A: This recall includes:

  • Factory Installed (2 or 4 Harnesses per vehicle) in Polaris Model Year 2015 and 2017-2020 RZR XP1000, RZR Turbo, RZR TurboS, and RZR Pro XP UTVs.
  • Polaris-branded RZR Click6 and Sub Zero harnesses sold as aftermarket accessories.
  • Can-Am Sub Zero 4-point harnesses sold as aftermarket accessories compatible for the Maverick and Maverick X 3 UTV models.
  • Kawasaki 6Click 6-point harnesses sold as aftermarket accessories compatible for the Teryx KRX® 1000 SxS models.

A: Contact your Authorized Dealer for Polaris, Kawasaki or Can-Am to schedule an inspection and possible replacement of your harness at no cost to you. If you have a Polaris/RZR harness, please call 800-765-2747 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday. If you have a Can-Am harness, please call 888-272-9222 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET Monday through Friday. If you have a Kawasaki harness, please call 866-802-9381 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT Monday through Friday. If you are uncertain who your Authorized Dealer is, you can call IMMI’s toll-free number at 877-255-4205 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.

A: No. You should not continue to use your harness until it has been inspected by an Authorized Dealer.

A: Yes, you can still receive an inspection and replacement at no cost to you even if your UTV is not under warranty.

A: Yes. You can still have an inspection and replacement at no cost to you even without a receipt.

A: In most cases, if your harness needs to be replaced, it should be replaced during your scheduled inspection for this product recall.
