Addressing Child Passenger Safety Challenges

These seat belt systems are personal protective safety devices regulated by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards to achieve specific performance standards. We want to remind you of the cleaning procedures defined in our user manuals. Below is the only cleaning process approved by IMMI for the cleaning of our SafeGuard School Bus products. IMMI has not approved any other materials or procedures for use on our products.

Additional Information

  • Never use lubricating agents with any component of our products because they will compromise the integrity of the restraint system and its ability to perform to requirements.
  • Lack of adherence to these procedures may result in injury or fatality as a result of changes to restraint system component material properties caused by reactions with cleaning chemicals.
  • Cleaning, care and maintenance protocols are the responsibility of the owner.  To maintain the integrity of the products, these instructions of IMMI SafeGuard must be followed.  The owner assumes all responsibility for damages if he/she deviates from these cleaning instructions.
  • Please communicate these instructions to those within your organization responsible for the communication of care and maintenance instructions to your customers.
