The following is a list of common questions about the IMMI Go Child Restraint.

A: The IMMI Go is a portable child restraint system for use in passenger vehicles. It has a built-in 5-point harness for children needing to be secured in a forward-facing mode. The harness can be removed so that the IMMI Go can also be used as a backless booster seat for older children using the vehicle belts. When not in use, the IMMI Go folds compactly into itself for easy carrying or storage.

A: The IMMI Go is designed for occasional needs of a forward facing child restraint such as in ride shares or taxis, trips with relatives and friends, or long distance vacations so you can have your own child restraint available at your destination. Public agencies needing the occasional child restraint will appreciate the ability to store the IMMI Go in their trunk without losing much space.

A: When the IMMI Go using the internal harness system is installed using the lower LATCH anchors for attachment, the child must weigh 22 – 55 pounds (10.1 – 25 kg); or using the vehicle seat belts for lower attachment, the child must weigh 22 – 65 pounds (10.1 – 29.5 kg). Height of the child must be 31 – 52 inches (78.7 – 132.1 cm).  A child must be a minimum one year of age and 10.1kg (22 lbs). to use the IMMI Go child restraint.

A: When converted to the booster mode, limits for the child size become 40 – 100 pounds (18.1 – 45.4 kg) and a height of 43 – 57 inches (110.1 – 144.8 cm). The top of child’s ears are below top of vehicle seat cushion or vehicle headrest.

A: The IMMI Go is 41.91 cm (16.5″ in) at its widest (across the arm rests), and 24.13kg (9.5″ in) where it meets the back of the vehicle seat. It is 34.29 (13.5″ in.) deep.

A: Just 4.53 kg (10 lbs)!

A: Your car must have a tether anchor to install the IMMI Go child restraint. In addition, the lower portion of the Go requires attachment either with the lower LATCH anchors or the vehicle seat belt. Check out our resource videos here on how to install the IMMI Go using LATCH. You can install the seat using the seat belt path, but you still need a top tether anchor. Consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual to find out which seat positions you can install the IMMI GO in your car.

A: No, since airplane seats do not have tether anchors (for 5-point harness mode) or shoulder belts (for booster mode). However, it does fit perfectly into the overhead bin of the plane just like a piece of carry-on luggage.

A: Yes, and it is free! It is attached to the seat for easy travel.

A: The IMMI Go restraint only comes in black pleather with attractive yellow stitching trim.

A: The IMMI Go child restraint system is considered to have a finite life. It must be frequently inspected and replaced as needed. The service life of a Go is six (6) years from the date of manufacture. The date of manufacture can be found on the label located on the bottom of the restraint base.
