Indiana Mills is the first to offer lap-shoulder seat belts to the heavy truck market and is the first to design, develop and produce buckles and adjusters specifically for child safety seats.


Needing more room, Indiana Mills moves into its present-day facility in Westfield, Indiana.




The new 70-acre campus is located on US 31 just north of Indianapolis.

 

RLS80 Retractor offered by Indiana Mills. A unique retractor designed for the commercial vehicle ride and environment.

 

 

Indiana Mills introduces the Komfort Latch, providing increased comfort for commercial vehicle occupants. Today, the Komfort Latch can be found in almost all heavy trucks.

 

Indiana Marine Company (IMCO) is born and begins producing tie-downs and straps for boats and marine equipment.

 


ERIC Buckle and the Comfort Ride Sleeve (CRS) are introduced to the Off-Highway industry, offering improved comfort to equipment operators by alleviating continuous seat belt tightening.

 

The first deceleration sled is installed.
