people and produces, in addition to seat belts, nylon saddles,
tie downs, grass catching bags, truck tarps and tents.

IMMI Corporate Headquarters moves from Indianapolis, Indiana
to Carmel, Indiana.
Seat belts become mandatory on automobiles and Indiana
Mills focuses on developing seat belts for commercial vehicles,
off-highway equipment and child safety seats.

"Making Quality Certain" campaign begins. A quality
improvement team is formed with the objective of producing
the safest and best restraints in the world.

Indiana Mills develops the first single entry child buckle.
The mini-buckle, maxi-buckle and U-10 buckle are introduced.
